As of 07/12/08: 427 cards autographed (63%). I adjusted the completion percentage. That’s because the old way of figuring it wasn’t entirely accurate.
There are checklist cards that list two teams on each (one on each side). I’ve been getting these checklist cards autographed by the respective team’s manager.
I never figured out how to count the Super Star cards with multiple players. For this blog, if I got one autograph on the card, it is a success. If I get a 2nd autograph on the same card, I won’t count it again.
There’s Ed Glynn (#408). The Indian pictured is Bud Anderson. I hope to get one card signed by Glynn and one by Anderson.
With the confusion above, I count 674 cards. So I’ll use that as the percentage.
About this project
Growing up, I collected baseball cards. For whatever reason, I ended up with many 1983 Fleer cards.
Now I'm writing to players asking to autograph their card. Most players will do it for free. Some charge money for their signature. A few, like Fred Lynn and Jim Kaat, donate the proceeds to charity.
I'm not a dealer, nor would I have any interest in selling any of the cards. Perhaps I'll hand them down to my son some day.

And Atlee! What's he doing now? Maybe standing on his front lawn, getting knocked over by a gust of wind. Cool.
Actually, he's a very successful businessman here in Knoxville, Tennessee. Here's his website: http://smithandhammaker.com/
They do document storage,shredding, etc.
Cool guy, too.
Nice! Thanks for the info, Jay!
